Report about last 3 weeks

Big thanks to Scott (Castro Valley), Steven (Livermore), and the Danville women’s club. Over the last two weeks we placed several microwaves, a TV, a dehumidifier, dishes, and a vacuum cleaner. One delivery worth flagging: a family with 11 children got a dehumidifier. A laptop and microwave are going to them next week. We’re also helping a young mom with 7-year-old kids from Ukraine. Most of the refugees we work with come through Highlands Community Charter and Technical School (HCCTS). They invited us to the Festival of Cultures at Cal Expo on September 15th. We’ll be there. We also take broken laptops and tablets. We repair them and pass them on to kids and students at HCCTS. We bought 5 laptops recently and have 10 more coming before the school year starts. We’re recruiting people for home appliance repair training. A few of our students have already taken jobs in the field. Thanks for the help.
